"Over the last few years I've had ongoing tear-trough and cheek filler treatment from Mr Malhotra, and couldn't be happier. I've always had a naturally thin face, but as I reached my late 30s I started to notice a bit of a 'gaunt' look. With your face, it's so important to get it right, and Mr Malhotra is very careful in his approach (he's actually sent me away before, when I thought I needed more!). Even a millimetre too much volume can make everything look disproportionate, so it's essential to have that level of caution. The procedures have always been painless with no bruising, so I could even go back to work the next day. I think one of the best things about Mr Malhotra though, is his aesthetic eye; he knows what shapes, curves and proportions will suit your face best. For me, the eye and cheek fillers last a good year - so the incredible, life-enhancing results are well worth it, and one of the best things I've done for myself. Thanks and best wishes" C (London)"
Our bodies change throughout our lives as a result of lifestyle and the ageing process. One of the places where change is most noticeable, and often unwelcome, is the face, where declining muscle volume, looser skin and the effects of gravity result in wrinkles and loss of fullness.
In the past, the only answer was an invasive surgical procedure, with its inherent risks and long recovery time. But now there is an effective alternative for people who want to improve their appearance without resorting to the knife.

Fillers are the modern way to smooth out lines and folds and restore a youthful plumpness to areas such as the upper cheek. Treatments are quick, generally taking around 30 minutes, require no pre-test and the results are visible immediately. The effects normally last up to a year.
Facial fillers are suitable for:
Mr Malhotra always aims for a subtle, natural looking effect and will discuss your expectations beforehand, so that you have a realistic idea of what can be achieved.
Cheek and facial contouring with fillers is a minimally-invasive out-patient procedure that offers a low risk of complications and minimal recovery time.
Mr Malhotra uses Restylane, a clear gel filler that has been used for many years in other areas of the face. It is made of hyaluronic acid, which is present in all living organisms. It creates volume and is hydrating. Since the hyaluronic acid in Restylane is not made from animals, there is no risk of transmitting diseases from animals or triggering allergic reactions in patients who are sensitive to common foods, such as beef, chicken and eggs.
The treatment consists of a series of injections, which are usually almost painless although they may prick a little. A topical anaesthetic can be applied to the area being treated if you wish. Ice packs applied before treatment also help to numb the area.
The gel filler introduces volume, lifts and smooths the skin. The results are instant and can last up to a year before a top-up is required.
All procedures begin with a consultation. For full information about what to do before and after surgery, see Patient information.
